Kings Lifeguard of Foot
The Kings Lifeguard of Foot is the largest regiment in the Sealed Knot Society that aims to reenact the battles of the English Civil War. We travel all over England bringing Musketeers, Drummers, Pikemen and lots more

What does everyone do on the battlefield?
Below are some of the things we do on the battlefield as a regiment:

Pikemen
Wield a pike to push Parliament back across the field of battle
Musketeers
Using an era appropriate musket to load and fire at the Parliamentarian army
Drummers
Beat out calls to relay orders to the soldiers on the field
Water Lady
The most important job on the field, carry the water to keep everyone hydrated
Standard Bearer
Guard the pride of the regiment on the battlefield and use it to relay the officer’s orders
What about off of the battlefield?
There are many things that can be done without having to be part of the fight!

Lace Making
Weave string into various intricate patterns to convey status and elegance in anyone that would wear it

Playing authentic instruments
Play various instruments such as fifes and recorders to add a musical element to the regiment
Cooking
Place a pot over an open fire and cook a delicious stew to keep the troops fed and ready to fight
